Events Microsite
I was one of the co-leads responsible for the development and deployment of the 2016 Global Symposium events microsite, a key digital touchpoint for one of the company’s most prestigious events. The 2016 Global Symposium event served as a platform to showcase Nobel Biocare’s innovations, foster collaboration among dental professionals, and provide educational opportunities. My role involved collaborating closely with the marketing and events teams to create a seamless, user-friendly microsite that effectively communicated the event’s value and enhanced the attendee experience.
High-level execution and approach:
Strategic planning and requirements gathering
I worked with the marketing and events teams to define the objectives and scope of the microsite. This included identifying key features such as event registration, agenda display, speaker profiles, and resource downloads. The goal was to create a platform that not only informed but also engaged users, driving registrations and fostering excitement for the event.
User-Centered Design and Development
Leveraging my expertise in user experience (UX) design, I ensured the microsite was intuitive and visually appealing. I collaborated with developers to create wireframes and prototypes, focusing on optimizing navigation, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices. The design emphasized Nobel Biocare’s brand identity while providing a modern and professional look.
Content Creation and Integration
I coordinated with events team for content specifically the program agenda and schedule of events in addition to receiving approved creatives and digital assets. This included event details, speaker bios, session descriptions, and promotional materials. Using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), I managed the content workflow to ensure timely updates and consistency across all pages.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Throughout the project, I acted as a bridge between the marketing, events, and technical teams, ensuring alignment on goals and timelines. I facilitated regular check-ins and feedback sessions to address challenges and incorporate stakeholder input, fostering a collaborative environment.
Testing and Optimization
Before the microsite’s launch, I conducted thorough usability testing to identify and resolve any issues. This included testing for functionality, performance, and compatibility across browsers and devices. Post-launch, I monitored user behavior and analytics to make data-driven improvements, enhancing the overall user experience.
Launch and Post-Event Engagement
The microsite was successfully launched ahead of the Global Symposium, serving as a central hub for attendees to register, access event information, and engage with Nobel Biocare’s offerings. After the event, the microsite was updated with on-demand content, such as session recordings and additional resources, extending its value and driving continued engagement.
Results and impact:
The Global Symposium microsite played a critical role in the event’s success, driving a significant increase in registrations (in partnership with online store's bundling promotion) and attendee engagement. The seamless user experience and visually compelling design received positive feedback from both internal stakeholders and external users. This project demonstrated my ability to manage complex digital initiatives, collaborate across teams, and deliver impactful solutions that align with business objectives and user needs.
